Casper WF van Eijck
Technical Physician & Principal Investigator Erasmus MC
Dr. Casper W.F. van Eijck is a (Technical) Physician and Principal Investigator at Erasmus MC. He works at the intersection of clinical oncology, immunology, and medical technology, focusing on translating innovative immunotherapies into patient care. His research involves developing and clinically implementing immunotherapeutic strategies for pancreatic cancer, such as personalized neoantigen peptide vaccines, dendritic cell therapy, and new metabolic and innate immune modulators. Through translational immuno-oncology and biomarker studies, he aims to enhance early diagnosis, patient stratification, and treatment effectiveness in solid tumors Intern.
Seminars
- Designing combination studies to measure incremental benefits of neoantigen therapies when added to checkpoint inhibitors, focusing on recurrence-free survival and overall response rates
- Using immune monitoring and biomarker analysis to demonstrate enhanced T-cell activation, tumour infiltration, and durable anti-tumour immunity beyond standard-of care effects
- Highlighting trial strategies, including patient stratification and adaptive endpoints, to clearly differentiate the added clinical value of neoantigen therapies over existing treatments
